Realizing I have to go back to reality on Monday is a tough pill to swallow. Can I go back on the Royal Caribbean cruise where I can disconnect my phone and lay by the pool all day? First off, I want to thank Royal Caribbean for sponsoring today’s post. I’ve done a lot of traveling these past couple of years but this vacation was by far the best. I have been on 3 cruises now and Chris has been on 7 cruises and we both agree that Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line we’ve experienced. Not only because of how big it is and how much there is to do, but the staff is the most attentive and kind people I’ve ever met on a vacation. I felt like royalty (see what I did there…)!
I can’t sit here and lie to you because anyone who really knows me knows I’m an EXTREMELY picky eater and definitely not a foodie, so I didn’t explore all of the options they had in the main dining hall. However, Chris is the opposite and tasted all of the food for me! The food in the main dining hall does not cost anything and you’re able to order however much you want! He was extremely pleased with every dish and loved that he was able to try food from all different cultures. Seriously I wish I could take those chefs home with me because that’s how happy Chris was after every meal. I loved all of my meals too even if they were pretty much the same thing every night haha. I’m no fun. The service was also incredible and we loved our servers Tiffany and Djanto because they were prompt and very personable the whole week. They also have specialty restaurants (there is a fee) as well as buffets that are complimentary.
My favorite spot on the cruise was definitely the Solarium. Chris and I are convinced we have to build one in our house. The solarium is an adult only area that is in the front of the ship overlooking the water with floor to ceiling windows. Even the ceiling is all windows! there are 3 infinity pools along with 4 hot tubs, a TON of lounge chairs and couches, and a big bar with bar service walking around the area. They also have this swing right in the front that is SO CUTE! We spent most of our time there and highly recommend it if you go on Anthem Of The Seas.
The other part I loved about cruising with The Royal Caribbean was that our room was cleaned 3 times a day and every night we were left an agenda for the next day. It had all the schedules of activities listed from day to night along with other things you’d want to know. It was definitely mine and Chris’s go to for each night so we didn’t have to wander around and wonder what’s going on. Instead we were able to plan time to see Pandora’s Box which is an Aerosmith tribute band (I LOVE AEROSMITH), we got to see some comedy shows and we were able to watch some karaoke. There are so many things to do for all ages on this ship. I cannot see any age group being bored or having nothing to do on Anthem Of The Seas. They offer so many things from bumper cars to rock climbing and massages to a fitness center (which by the way, also has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean). Also, they have a spot called the Bionic Bar, which you can see in the picture below, where you create your own drink and these robots make it for you. It is so cool to watch them pick our each alcohol and shake it up and pour it in the cup! Although does this mean we’re closer to robots taking over? I don’t know…
Overall my experience with Royal Caribbean was amazing and I cannot wait to cruise with them again. Although this time around we went on their Anthem of the Seas ship, I’ve also been on their Adventure of the Seas ship and also had a great time. Definitely consider cruising with them for your next vacation. The prices are extremely reasonable when you realize all that comes with it.
I will be writing my Bermuda Travel Guide this week so stay tuned for that! I’m excited to be back on normal posting schedule for Instagram (Monday through Friday between 7-7:30am). As much as I loved disconnecting for a week without my phone, I truly missed my blogging life, which goes to show how passionate I am about it! Thank you all for your support because I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without you guys.
