Today I’m going to share with you my top tips for shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and share with you the catalog! Can you believe it’s that time already!? I feel like just yesterday my wallet was crying and my closet was cheering after my purchases at the sale… I worked at Nordstrom for a few years and feel like I’ve learned all of the must have tips and tricks for this sale.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Anniversary Sale, it’s the biggest sale at Nordstrom. Instead of a usual sale at the end of each season with nothing but leftovers that only have a few more weeks of wear left for the season, this sale includes NEW Fall merchandise in July, up to 40% off. After the sale ends, the prices will go up to normal pricing without the discount. They have an early access time where you can shop a week before the sale goes live, but you need to be a card holder! FYI… you do not need to pay with your Nordstrom card to access the pricing, you just need to be a Nordstrom card holder to swipe in to get access.

Disclaimer: If you shop using my link above, I do make a very small commission on each purchase. It helps support this blog and allows me to create content for you all! I always always appreciate when you use my link and thank you very much!
Dates:
Early Access (Card holders only)- July 12-18
Public Sale- July 19-August 4
I have an appointment with a few of my favorite CT bloggers on the first day of Early Access (July 12th) early in the morning, so we can film some try on hauls for you guys and let you know how things fit and feel! This is great if you want to shop online and not enter into the madness at the store. Let me know ahead of time if there’s anything specific you’d like me to try on for you guys! Also, make sure to follow my Instagram so you can watch my stories during the Try On session –> Follow My Instagram Here

Nordstrom Anniversary Catalog 2019
Tips for shopping the sale:
- GET COFFEE. – Obviously the most important because it’s going to be a long day of shopping… They have so many items to look through!
- Use a Triple Points Day– If you’re already a card holder, you’ll know what this means. Depending on your status “level” you get a Triple Points Day which essentially means you get 6% back in Nordstrom Notes(pretty much a gift card to the store). I always save my Triple Points Day for this time of year!
- Stock up on basics– During this sale, they have amazing basics such as; Zella leggings, premium denim, and a bunch of tees. Now is the time to stock up on your basics for the year because they will be at a great price! I will do a whole round-up of my favorite basics from the sale when the sale goes live online!
- Wait on designer items– Unless you have endless money or find something you LOVE, wait to splurge on designer. You will get a much better deal during their Designer Clearance Sale which usually comes around Fall time.
- Shop At Home– This may sound biased because I used to manage this department, however, too many people overlook the At Home department. All of the towels and sheets go on MAJOR sale which is a great time to stock up on new ones. Also, their down bedding and pillows go on sale which is great because you’re supposed to switch out your down every year.
- SHOP THE FIRST TWO DAYS– One of the most important tips I have, especially for those of you in Connecticut, is to shop the sale the first couple of days of Early Access. The first day if possible. Things sell out SO fast that you will barely see any options after the weekend. FYI, most do NOT come back in stock. If you see it and want it, get it, because you can always return it if you change your mind but this way it is definitely yours.
These are some of my best tips that I’ve learned from being a manager at Nordstrom. I hope these help you shop the biggest sale of the year! Let me know what posts you’d like to see from me throughout the sale whether it’s “what items I think will sell out fast”, “what items are the best bang for your buck” or whatever it may be. I know July and August will be a busy time for bloggers with this sale, but feel free to ask me any questions you may have!
