So far, my boyfriend and I have done two rounds of Hello Fresh. These are pictures from the first round. You get three meals that feed 2 people (however, my boyfriend could eat the whole thing by himself so the portions aren’t very big). Maybe they’re teaching us portion control?
I have to say, these recipes are VERY easy to follow. It tells you exactly what to do and what order to do it in.
This meal was the Za’atar Crusted Grilling Cheese which is a fancy grilled cheese with quinoa, shallots, tomatoes, and zucchini. It was DELICIOUS.
I would rate Hello Fresh 4 out of 5. It definitely is pricy, and you have to cross your fingers that you get a good week. Our first week had great recipes, however, our second week wasn’t the greatest. The food tasted good but it wasn’t very diverse (they were mostly grain based, which didn’t bother me but my boyfriend is a nutritionist and wasn’t too fond). But this is great when you need ideas of what to make, or when you don’t have time to go to the grocery store. I kept the recipes and made a binder so that if I ever want to make them again I can recreate them.
Overall, I do recommend trying them. The food is so delicious, the recipes are easy to follow, and you get it delivered right to your door!
