Applying makeup is not the easiest task. It takes practice, time and patience to get it right. Being an eyeglass wearer, it might be a lot more difficult for you since makeup cannot be applied with eyeglass on. You might feel a bit discourage that your eye makeup might not show through your eyeglass – however, this might not be the case. There is a lot of makeup tips that can help you look gorgeous through glasses. It takes a bit of readjusting of your basic makeup skills to incorporate your frames in your makeup routine rather than giving up on makeup overall.
Follow these tips to accentuate your eyes while wearing an eyeglass and makeup
Install a magnifying mirror
It is nearly impossible to apply makeup while not looking in a mirror. A magnifying mirror can be a vision improving tool for glasses wearers. It allows nearsighted people the ability to see clearly without the glasses. If you wear eye makeup daily a magnifying mirror with excellent lighting is worth getting.
Makeup sticking to frames – matte moisturizer and setting spray
Use a matte moisturizer before layering on foundation and concealer. Finalize with a setting powder and setting spray to keep everything in place. Often when I wear glasses after removing I am left with makeup smeared at the bridge of my nose and lenses caked up. This can be frustrating as the makeup now become uneven due to the oiliness in the t-zone area. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is a recommended product by the makeup gurus. I personally enjoy using NYX First Base Primer Spray; it is inexpensive and it does the job.
Avoid wearing falsies
Fake lashes tend to be long and might brush up on your frames. This can lead to eye irritation and streaking on your lenses. Skip the lashes and choose a voluminizing mascara instead; this will make your natural eyelashes look thicker and full. If you are good at cutting the lashes to fit, then wearing falsies shouldn’t be a problem for you. Also use an eyelash curler; it helps to make the eyes wider and fuller.
Choose eyeshadows that enhances your natural eye color
To make your eyes pop select eyeshadow shades that complements the color of your eyes. You might want to take a look over at TheKewlShop to see which makeup goes with your specific eye color the best.
Bold Lips
You might want to go for a bold lip color that complements your overall look and will balance your makeup look; as glasses draw immediate attention to the eye area.
Wearing glasses should not prevent you from wearing makeup. If you implement these makeup tips into your makeup routine, then applying makeup might not be so difficult for eyeglass wearers after all.
