The fact that it’s already April is blowing my mind. I talked about my health goal in January and how I really wanted to focus on what I eat. I have become a lot more aware of how often I eat my junk food! I’m not going to lie, I’d say I’m about 50/50 when it comes to eating healthy, however, I used to be 100% not healthy, so baby steps.
This month now that the warmer weather is FINALLY coming (though I probably shouldn’t jinx it), I wanted to focus on fitness. They say abs are made in the kitchen, but I want to focus on toning up some areas of my body. I’m at my happy weight now, but now I just want to focus on a couple of areas that need some definition!
I love to run outside. To me, it’s a lot better for you and more fun than running on a treadmill. When I get home from work, I plan to run everyday. I will start small, and slowly build up how far I can go.
I also want to walk my dog for 30 minutes every night. This will be a nice relaxing workout before getting ready for bed. It’s also a great addition of a work out for Oscar!
I try to do other workouts at home (such as abs and what not), but I’m not going to lie, I love the machines at the gym so much more. Even just spending an intense 30-45 minutes at the gym just focusing on muscle-building will help me burn more calories and tone the areas that need to be toned.
Now that I’m focused on fitness this month, I had to buy some new workout clothes of course!
